GAPA Creates 2021
Written by GAPA on . Posted in News.
Despite covid restrictions, and by adhering to strict social distancing and covid safety protocols, we still managed to pull off GAPA Create’s choreography competition at the King Edward Hall Lindfield on June 26th. Parents were unable to attend but pupils cheered each other on as solos, duets, trios, and groups were performed, and prizes were awarded by our adjudicators Phil Gardner and Natalie Ayton (former members of Matthew Bourne). Congratulations to all.

Creativity in Lockdown!
Written by GAPA on . Posted in News.
GAPA has kept busy during lockdown not only with classes but also being creative. We had a photography competition and a collaborative choreography task where pupils videoed themselves dancing to certain phrases of a song and Mrs G edited them altogether to make a whole dance. Go to our gallery page to see the fabulous end result!

Following the Government’s recommendations on social distancing we have made the sad decision to close GAPA at this time until the restrictions are lifted. We all wish everyone a safe time during this lockdown and hope that in your houses and gardens you can “keep dancing”.

We’re so proud of our GAPA pupils (Alice, Beatrice, Beatrice, Ella, Eliza, Isabella Alice, Isabella, Emily and Maddie) who represented the school so well by dancing beautifully at the ISTD Senior Ballet Awards at the Hawth this weekend. Huge congratulations to Isabella Alice Evans for getting through to the finals of Grade 5 and to Beatrice Jenkins for coming 3rd place AND getting the musicality cup for Grade 4.
